Research Interests

My primary research interest is in developing methods for repeated measurement/longitudinal data. This occurs frequently in biomedical studies where subjects are followed and data are collected over time. Specifically, my collaborators and I have developed tools for testing goodness-of-fit of models for correlated binary data.  I also work on change-point models using a generalized estimating equations (GEE) method. Applications of interest to me in this area are i) the use of prostate specific antigen (PSA) to monitor recurrence of prostate cancer after surgery or radiotherapy treatment and ii) the use of dementia measurements before and after Alzheimer diagnosis as compared to normal ageing. At the Cancer center, I spend a significant amount of my time working in collaboration with oncologists and cancer researchers.  Specifically, new and interesting directions I focus on include diagnostic assessments, biology cancer, ROC curves for correlated biomarkers, and microarray analyses.
